Everyday physical and environmental challenges, including stress, force the immune system to work overtime. Pollution, heavy workloads, economic conditions, major life events, poor eating habits, a lack of adequate sleep, and exercise are stressors that can leave you feeling run down and your immune system more susceptible.
Unlike seasonal immune products, MonaVie (M)mun™ is formulated to be taken daily to help prime your immune system and help keep it ready to function at optimum capacity every day of the year.
Wellmune is a natural ingredient that supports the body’s natural defenses by promoting healthy immune function. This unique, patent-protected compound, a beta-glucan polysaccharide (or complex carbohydrate), is produced from a proprietary strain of baker’s yeast. In several clinical trials involving hundreds of participants, Wellmune has been shown to support the immune system’s innate ability to fight a wide range of challenges.
The immune system is a highly complex network of specialized cells that protect against opposing elements foreign to the body. Wellmune® works by preparing key immune cells for action. These special immune cells called neutrophils require beta-glucan polysaccharides to properly function. By introducing a nutritional source of beta-glucan to the body, the immune system is better prepared to identify and neutralize these challenges.
Daily physical and environmental stressors take a toll on the immune system. The body’s defense mechanisms are made of billions of specialized cells. These cells have a very short lifespan and are created and eliminated on a daily basis. By taking MonaVie (M)mun™ with Wellmune® every day, these important immune cells are prepared to function at optimum capacity. Clinical research has shown that regular consumption of Wellmune helps strengthen your body’s immune defenses especially in times of stress.

Your immune system is sending out a daily SOS signal. SOS is an acronym for safeguard, optimize, and shield.
Safeguarding the body. From toothbrushes and sunscreen to helmets and seatbelts, safeguarding our body is part of our everyday routines. But when it comes to our body’s immune system, oftentimes we do not take necessary daily precautionary measures. Everyday challenges such as pollution, heavy workloads, economic conditions, poor eating habits, and lack of adequate sleep and exercise put added stress on the immune system.
Optimize your body’s natural defenses. The immune system is a highly specialized network of billions of cells that protect your body from potentially harmful microorganisms. Unique immune cells, which are created and eliminated on a daily basis, require specific nutrients in order to properly function. Drinking MonaVie (M)mun every day, provides your immune cells with Wellmune and other nutrients to help it function at optimum capacity.
Shield your body with the help of MonaVie (M)mun™. MonaVie (M)mun helps support your immune system—the body’s shield against potentially harmful microorganisms. By supporting the body’s natural defenses, MonaVie (M)mun with Wellmune may promote vitality and vigor and improved feelings of well-being in times of stress. It’s your daily defense for a healthier life.

MonaVie Active contains glucosamine hydrochloride, which has been extensively tested and found to be safe and effective; however, tests involving pregnant and nursing women have been limited. Thus, MonaVie recommends that pregnant and nursing women consult their health care practitioners prior to use.
Glucosamine hydrochloride is a natural compound found in the body that is used to help make and form cartilage. Glucosamine has also been shown to help lubricate, cushion, and protect healthy joints.
There are three types of glucosamine: glucosamine hydrochloride (HCl), N-acetyl glucosamine, and glucosamine sulfate. Both glucosamine HCl and glucosamine sulfate are rapidly converted into “free” glucosamine in the stomach. So, from a medicinal standpoint, they are equally effective. However, glucosamine HCl is 79 percent glucosamine, while glucosamine sulfate is only between 47 and 52 percent glucosamine. We formulated MonaVie Active juice with glucosamine HCl because this form of glucosamine contains the highest level of free glucosamine.
Esterified fatty acids promote joint health, improving flexibility and mobility. Esterification is the general name for a chemical reaction in which two chemicals (typically an alcohol and an acid) form an ester as the reaction product.
MonaVie Active’s esterified fatty acids are derived from a 100 percent vegetable source (palm nut oil). The (US) FDA has made it mandatory to list all sources of potential allergens found in a product on its label. Eight major foods or food groups have been identified as common allergy causing foods in some individuals. Of these foods tree nuts are included. Since palm nuts are a tree nut and the esterified fatty acids come from palm nut oil, it is necessary to list it on the product label.
Allergic reactions are caused by proteins. The esterified fatty acids in MonaVie Active may contain an extremely low level—an almost undetectable level—of protein from palm nuts. Because the amount of protein is so minute, it is unlikely that people with tree nut allergies will have an allergic reaction; however, in extremely sensitive persons it is best to avoid it all together. If you have an allergy to palm nuts, it is best to consult with your physician prior to drinking MonaVie Active.
No, not necessarily. Individuals with peanut allergies only should not have an allergic reaction to MonaVie Active because the product is not produced in a facility that manufactures peanuts or peanut oil.

MonaVie Pulse
Helps maintain existing healthy cholesterol levels. MonaVie Pulse delivers added heart health benefits derived from plant sterols* (which studies suggest play a key factor in lowering cholesterol), resveratrol, and omega 3 fatty acids. Scientifically formulated with your heart in mind, this delicious formula offers key nutritional support to those watching their cholesterol.

  • Boasts heart healthy levels of plant sterols to help maintain existing healthy cholesterol levels.
  • Features resveratrol, which supports your cardiovascular system by helping protect healthy blood vessels.
  • Delivers powerful antioxidant polyphenols to promote a healthy cardiovascular system.

* Foods containing at least 0.4 grams per serving of plant sterols, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 0.8 grams and as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. Two servings (4 ounces) of MonaVie Pulse contain 0.8 grams of plant sterols.

Drink two ounces of MonaVie Pulse juice twice daily. One serving (two ounces) provides 0.4 grams of plant sterols. For Pulse Gel, take one packet twice daily. One packet (one serving) also provides 0.4 grams of plant sterols.
MonaVie Pulse juice and gel are scientifically formulated with 19 fruits, including the superfruit açai, delivering powerful antioxidants to nutritionally support your cardiovascular system. Both the juice and gel provide 0.4 grams of plant sterols per serving. A serving of Pulse juice is 2 ounces and a serving of Pulse Gel is 1 packet (1 ounce). You will receive the same benefits from both products; however, the gel is more portable for convenience when on the go.
Acai remains as the crown jewel and is the primary ingredient in MonaVie Pulse. The amount of acai in MonaVie Pulse is equivalent to MonaVie Active and Original.
Plant sterols, often called phytosterols, are naturally occurring fats found in plants. Açai, a source of healthy fats, does contain some phytosterols. They are found in MonaVie Active and Original, but by adding more plant sterols to MonaVie Pulse, the product is able to support a healthy heart and maintain existing healthy cholesterol levels.
Concord grape, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, elderberry, yumberry, tart cherry, prickly pear, pineapple, and cupuaçu.
Concord grape, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, elderberry, yumberry, and tart cherry were identified for their antioxidant content, especially polyphenols. Diets rich in fruits that provide a variety of polyphenol antioxidants have been shown to benefit overall health as well as the maintenance of cardiovascular health. Cupuaçu and yumberry help keep MonaVie on the cutting-edge of nutritional trends. Native to the Amazon Rainforest, cupuaçu has been praised as one of the next great superfruits for its nutritional properties. Pineapple and prickly pear have been added to enhance MonaVie Pulse’s flavor and nutritional profile.
Many plants include some substance known as plant sterols, phytochemical compounds found in the fatty tissues of plants. Wheat germ, sesame oil, wheat bran, and Brussels sprouts are rich in plant sterols. When plant sterols are consumed, they compete with cholesterol for absorption in the body. However, it is difficult to consume enough of these foods on a daily basis to derive enough plant sterols to maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
From your body’s point of view, plant sterols look a lot like cholesterol. Studies suggest that as you eat a meal with sufficient amounts of plant sterols, the body absorbs less cholesterol because plant sterols actually compete with cholesterol for absorption in the body. Foods containing at least 0.4 g per serving of plant sterol esters, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 0.8 g, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. Two servings of MonaVie Pulse juice (4 oz.) supply 0.8 g of plant sterols.
Studies have been conducted on the plant sterols contained in MonaVie Pulse. In these studies, cholesterol-lowering benefits were detected after consuming 0.8 grams of plant sterols daily for 4 weeks or more. MonaVie is currently conducting a study to determine whether Pulse, which contains 0.8 grams of plant sterols in 4 oz. of juice, is able to produce the same benefits over the same amount of time.
Numerous human and toxicological studies conducted with plant sterols have shown no adverse effects in most populations. However, if you have a specific concern, health condition, or question regarding the consumption of plant sterols, we recommend you consult with your physician prior to consuming MonaVie Pulse.
If you are pregnant or lactating and have a specific concern or question about consuming MonaVie Pulse, we recommend you consult with your physician prior to consuming the product.
MonaVie goes to great lengths to ensure its products are safe. This includes using ingredients with Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) status as required by the FDA prior to sale. MonaVie also ensures that its products are manufactured according to Current Good Manufacturing Practices as required by the FDA.
In addition to these requirements, MonaVie employs rigorous testing to ensure its products meet its pre-determined high quality standards for safety and purity. However, despite our confidence in the safety of MonaVie Pulse, MonaVie does not replace the advice of a physician.
Although MonaVie products are safe for consumption as food products, you should consult with your physician if you are concerned about ingredient contraindications.
Yes, you can drink MonaVie Pulse with MonaVie Active or MonaVie Original. To get the full joint health benefits from MonaVie Active, you will need to drink 4 ounces of MonaVie Active as directed; to get the full benefits from the plant sterols, you will need to drink 4 ounces of MonaVie Pulse as directed.
MonaVie Pulse is targeted for health-conscious men and women who are concerned with cholesterol levels, heart health, and overall nutrition and well-being.
According to the American Heart Association, elevated blood cholesterol is a major risk factor in cardiovascular health. Nearly 100 million Americans have elevated cholesterol (>200 mg/dL) and, oftentimes, they don’t even know it. Taking action now to maintain healthy cholesterol levels will help prevent such problems from arising.

Cholesterol levels can often be modified by lifestyle changes, such as eating a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and high in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. MonaVie Pulse contains plant sterols, which studies suggest play a key role in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels already within the normal range. Consuming plant sterols as a regular part of a healthy diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol provides another natural option in the maintenance of cardiovascular health.

In the US, the National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) suggests the use of plant sterols in conjunction with other lifestyle changes produces positive effects on cholesterol levels achieved through dietary means. (The NCEP is a branch of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health.)
Plant sterols (phytosterols) have been clinically evaluated in many different populations, under different circumstances over the past 50 years. In a number of studies plant sterols have demonstrated the ability to improve cholesterol levels in humans. The health benefits of phytosterols have been well established, and public health authorities, such as the US National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP), are beginning to include phytosterols as part of their dietary recommendations (NCEP, 2001).
All of the MonaVie products contain açai and a blend of 18 additional body-beneficial fruits. MonaVie Original is for individuals mainly interested in antioxidant nutrition and aging. Built on the foundation of MonaVie Original, MonaVie Active also provides the additional benefits of glucosamine for joint health. MonaVie Pulse offers a potent blend of antioxidant nutrients for cardiovascular health and enough plant sterols (.8 grams per 4 oz, or 2 packets) to help maintain existing healthy cholesterol levels.

Real energy (as opposed to perceived energy) comes from calories. Caffeine alone revs the body and mind but lacks the fuel to give them power. The body is highly active and requires a steady flow of fuel from carbohydrates, which provide calories. MonaVie EMV provides a responsible level of caffeine for clarity and focus with a proper blend of carbohydrates to give your body the fuel it needs for immediate and longer lasting energy levels.

MonaVie EMV carbohydrates come from 80% fruit juice content and Palatinose™. Carbohydrates are essential to fuel your body and mind. MonaVie EMV does not contain added refined sugars such as high-fructose corn syrup or artificial sweeteners.

Palatinose (also called isomaltulose) is a novel and natural carbohydrate energy source. It is found naturally in honey and sugar cane extract. This exclusive, healthier carbohydrate breaks down more slowly in the body when compared to sucrose (table sugar) and other simple sugars. Because it is not broken down as quickly, energy from Palatinose is longer lasting and more sustained. Palatinose is also kinder to teeth and the stomach when compared to other sugars.

Palatinose is a natural ingredient derived from sugar beet.

Traditionally, the açai berry has been used for health and vitality. As such, it makes a perfect complement to a healthy energy beverage. The energy drink market is a multi-billion-dollar product category that is expected to almost double in the next five years. The intent of MonaVie EMV is to provide a healthier alternative targeted specifically to energy consumers and to provide a lower cost product to persons who might not otherwise purchase MonaVie products.
MonaVie EMV is very safe, and we suggest that it be consumed responsibly. The number of servings you drink will depend upon your daily energy needs. For most individuals, 1–2 servings a day should be adequate. More MonaVie EMV can be consumed if desired, or as needed.
Too much caffeine (more than 500 mg daily) can cause restlessness, anxiousness, irritability, and headaches. Since MonaVie EMV contains 60 mg of caffeine per serving (this amount is comparable to many popular cola drinks), a person would have to consume an unusually high number of servings to have these side effects.
We lightly carbonate MonaVie EMV to enhance the taste, flavor, and experience of drinking it. Sound research on the effects of carbonation shows it is very safe for consumption and that there are no negative effects on the body.
MonaVie EMV contains 40 grams of carbohydrates, 22 grams of sugar, and 15 grams of Palatinose™. As with any medical condition, please consult your doctor before consuming MonaVie EMV.

The amount of açai in MonaVie EMV is comparable to the amount found in the MonaVie juices and gel products. Açai is the first and primary ingredient. It is consistent with the MonaVie product philosophy.

Consume your MonaVie juices as usual. For added energy and increased focus and alertness—or for those times you need to kick it up a notch—add MonaVie EMV to your routine.

MonaVie EMV is for anyone who wants added energy and increased focus and alertness. We do not recommend MonaVie EMV for children (under age 16), pregnant or nursing women, or those sensitive to caffeine. MonaVie Kosher
The word kosher means proper or acceptable. A kosher-certified food meets Jewish dietary laws and traditions. According to the Orthodox Union website, most Americans eat some kosher food every day, but chances are they’re not aware of it. Kosher certification appears on more than 60% of products—from Oreo’s to Coca-Cola—available in grocery stores today.

The current product formulas will remain the same. The kosher product will be a new addition to the MonaVie family of products. The formulation is similar to MonaVie Original, made with a delicious blend of 19 body-beneficial fruits, including the Brazilian acai berry, to provide high-levels of antioxidants and to promote good health.

Pineapple juice – Native to southern Brazil and Paraguay, this tropical sweet fruit contains antioxidant phenol compounds. The edible juicy flesh ranges from an almost white to yellow color.
Elderberry juice Native to the subtropical regions of eastern North America and Europe, early settlers used them as a dried and medicinal crop. The flat topped clusters of small, juicy, round elderberries are loaded with blue and red pigmented phytonutrients and antioxidants.
Cherry juice Cherries are believed to originate from Europe and Asia. Today, cherries are grown all over the world and are known for their beautiful red color. As a perennial tree fruit, it is known for its tart juicy pulp and anthocyanin contribution to the diet.
Blackberry juice Used for over 2,000 years in Europe for eating and medicinal purposes, blackberries are also native to Asia, North America, and South America. The dark colored aggregate fruit is a dense source of antioxidant polyphenolic compounds.

Açai is a small, round, dark-purple berry with amazing nutritional properties. Its appearance is similar to that of a grape, but it has a smaller amount of pulp and a single large seed. Scientific experts have referred to the açai berry as the most nutritious and powerful food in the world.
While all the fruits contained in MonaVie have unique properties that benefit your body, the açai berry has become the “headliner” fruit because it is packed with nutritional value—proteins, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and trace minerals. So complete is this berry that the Brazilian people living along the Amazon can survive on it as their sole source of food and demonstrate amazing vitality and energy. More important than this, however, is the impressive amount of phytonutrients and powerful antioxidants MonaVie is able to capture from the açai berry through its exclusive processing.
The freeze-dried açai used in MonaVie boasts the highest ORAC score against the peroxyl free radical of any fruit or vegetable tested to date. The açai fruit is the star among other well-known antioxidants, such as blueberries, grapes, red wine, green tea, cranberries, blackberries, and pomegranates. By comparison, açai has more than 10 times the antioxidant power of cranberries.
An acronym for oxygen radical absorbance capacity, ORAC is a way to measure the antioxidant capacity of a food. Foods with high ORAC values are desirable for their ability to neutralize free radicals, thus inhibiting the ability of the free radical to cause cell damage. The ORAC measurement was developed by a scientist at the National Institute of Aging in 1992 and has been a valuable tool in quantifying health benefits associated with consuming fruits, vegetables, and other antioxidant-containing foods and supplements.
Four ounces of MonaVie has an approximate ORAC value of 4,000 to 5,000 units. This is the approximate ORAC value of 5 to 13 commonly eaten fruits and vegetables. Health experts currently recommend consuming 5,000 ORAC units per day for optimal antioxidant protection.

The açai berry grows in clusters on the açai palm, a genus of 25–30 species of palms native to tropical Central and South America. These tall, slender palms can grow 15–30 meters tall, with leaves up to 3 meters long. The prime commercial source of açai comes from the area where several rivers converge within the Amazon estuary, emptying along the northeastern corner of Brazil into the Atlantic Ocean between the states of Para and Amapa. The people of Brazil refer to açai as the “Milk of the Amazon.”
No. In fact, MonaVie is helping to preserve the Amazon Rainforest by harvesting the açai berry. Each week, poachers illegally chop down 5,000–10,000 palm trees to obtain and sell a 12-inch section of the palm known as the “palmito.” As a result, the entire tree dies. On the other hand, by harvesting the açai berry, the palm tree continues to thrive and the natives have an incentive to preserve the açai-bearing palm tree.
The exact amount of açai, or of the other fruits, contained in our blend is not disclosed. This is considered one of the company’s greatest intellectual assets. However, the ingredients appear on the label in order, by amount, from most to least. This means that because açai is the first ingredient listed on the label, it is the most abundant.
The green film and clumps seen in the MonaVie juices are heart-friendly substances known as mono- and poly-unsaturated fatty acids, which come from the acai berry. Depending on the area of the Amazon and the time of year the açai berry is harvested, the fat content may vary slightly from bottle to bottle. These fats tend to coagulate or clump together when flash pasteurized. These fats are not harmful; in fact, they are very healthy. Please shake the bottle well before pouring.
As with any natural product, there can be variation from batch to batch. For example, depending on the area of the Amazon and the time of year the acai berry is harvested, the healthy fat content may vary slightly from bottle to bottle. As with any natural fruit or vegetable, it is not produced with the exact same nutritional composition every time it grows. Every effort is made during the manufacturing process to ensure that MonaVie products are consistently safe and nutritious.
MonaVie is the premier açai juice blend. With its superior antioxidant properties, the acai berry is the crown jewel of MonaVie. Because of açai’s significance, MonaVie has increased the amount of acai in the juice blend. The increased level of acai means more nutritional and antioxidant benefits to your health. The acai berry is rich in beneficial nutrients that contribute to the calorie content of the juice blend. The newest label now lists: 30 calories, 5 calories from fat, 0.5 g of fat, and less than 1 gram of dietary fiber per serving. Other changes have been made to the label to illuminate the juice’s contents. For example, the bottles now display 100% juice. The labels now also provide the amount of vitamin K and potassium. The amount of vitamin K in the MonaVie juices is 8 mcg (10% Daily Value) per 1 ounce serving. The amount of potassium per 1 ounce serving is 55 mg (2% Daily Value).
Protein quality is usually ranked by comparing it to the amino acid profile of an egg, which is regarded as ideal. Protein is found in animal and plant sources. Animal proteins such as meat, milk, and cheese are more similar to an egg’s protein profile and are ranked higher in quality than protein from plant sources. This ranking is based upon the profile of the essential amino acids it possesses. The açai berry is unique because it contains all the essential amino acids. Therefore, the protein found in açai is considered a high-quality protein, even though it is from a plant. Protein quality, however, does not directly refer to the amount of protein. While açai is a complete protein—meaning it has all essential amino acids—the actual amount of protein per serving is less than one gram per ounce; therefore, it states “0 grams” of protein on the product’s nutritional facts panel. Four ounces of MonaVie juice, however, provide 1 gram of protein.
We understand the desire to do direct product comparisons with MonaVie; however, due to current company policy, we cannot provide side-by-side product comparisons. Direct product comparisons come with significant legal liability. It is simply best to not do them. We are, however, happy to provide you with some information describing the benefits
of MonaVie’s fruit juice blend and the reasons that make MonaVie the amazing product it is.

The açai berry naturally contains a good amount of heart-healthy fats—monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. Many companies choose to clarify or remove these fats from their açai products; however, MonaVie is committed to only providing açai that has not been clarified and that has higher nutritional quality. The number one ingredient in the MonaVie juice blend is açai. By looking at the ingredient list you can see what ingredient is the most abundant. Most of the time, in other products, açai is not the first ingredient, which could indicate that the product only contains a small amount. MonaVie uses freeze-dried and frozen puree of acai. By freeze-drying the açai, up to 100% of the phytonutrient composition is maintained. Freezing the açai puree also helps guarantee a significant amount of the berry’s nutritional content is maintained.

Yes. With flash pasteurization, the product is heated for approximately 15–30 seconds and then immediately cooled. By only briefly subjecting the product to high temperatures, most—if not all—taste and color changes are avoided. Flash pasteurization is preferred to other methods because it kills microbes without destroying beneficial phytonutrients.

MonaVie products are manufactured in the United States of America.

The U.S. National Research Council recommends that you consume at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day to maintain a proper supply of food derived antioxidants for your body. Research indicates that only five percent of the U.S. population consumes five servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
Phytonutrients are naturally occurring compounds that contribute to the flavor, color, and disease-resistance of plants (i.e., fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes). Phytonutrients are powerful antioxidants, but their value extends much beyond free radical protection. Maximum health benefits are derived from consuming a variety of phytonutrients with a full spectrum of colors and pigments, such as those found in MonaVie products.
Antioxidants are “agents” that help inhibit harmful compounds known as free radicals. Free radicals cause damage to your cells through the process of oxidation. By donating an electron to unstable free radicals, antioxidants neutralize their harmful effects. Obtaining a variety of antioxidants through diet or supplementation is essential to maintaining your good health.
Free radicals are atoms with at least one unpaired electron. In excess, free radicals produce harmful oxidation that can damage cell membranes. Free radicals are analogous to cattle let loose on a field of planted crops. Uncontrolled, the cattle would destroy the crops. Ranch hands are hired to make sure the cattle stay in place and graze. Antioxidants act much the same way. As the ranch hands for our bodies, antioxidants prevent free radicals from potentially damaging millions of healthy, functioning cells.
Oxidative stress occurs in your body when there are not enough antioxidants to counter the effects of damaging free radicals.
Tobacco smoke, alcohol, pollution, insecticides, radiation, chemicals in the home or at work, and excessive amounts of sunlight are all prolific contributors to the formation of free radicals. Other causes include a high-fat diet, stress, insufficient sleep, and strenuous exercise.

If you are taking a prescription medication and are under the supervision of a physician, please consult with your physician or pharmacist before taking MonaVie. MonaVie Original and Active are very safe to consume. Some prescription medicines, however, are known to interact with foods. Some food/nutrient interactions you should be aware of when taking MonaVie include vitamin K with blood thinners or anti-coagulants (e.g., Coumadin®), and potassium with blood pressure (e.g., metoprolol and propranolol) and ACE inhibitor medications (e.g., captopril).

The amount of vitamin K in MonaVie juices is 8 mcg (10% Daily Value) per 1 ounce serving. The amount of potassium per 1 ounce serving is 55 mg (2% Daily Value).

We advise those with any medical condition to consult with their physician before consuming MonaVie products. Please understand that because each dia- betic is different, as some are insulin dependent and others are not, MonaVie will affect each individual differently. The natural sugar (carbohydrate) content of MonaVie is 3 grams per ounce of juice and 5 grams per packet of gel. MonaVie does not add any additional sugars to its products.
Preservatives help maintain a product’s freshness. Sodium benzoate, the sodium salt of benzoic acid, can prevent the growth of almost all microorganisms (e.g., yeast, bacteria, and fungi). Benzoic acid is found naturally in tea, anise, most berries, cultured dairy products and cheese, cherry bark, and cassia bark.

Potassium sorbate is a potassium salt version of sorbic acid, a polyunsaturated fat used to inhibit mold growth. Sorbic acid has been repeatedly tested for safety and efficacy, and today stands as one of the most thoroughly tested food additives in history.

In the presence of trace amounts of certain metals, which act as catalysts, vitamin C can produce free radicals that convert benzoate into benzene. The FDA and World Health Organization have set a standard for benzene levels in water and that level is 5 parts per billion. MonaVie tests its MonaVie juices for benzene regularly, and we are always well below the FDA’s and World Health Organization’s acceptable levels for benzene.

MonaVie’s açai patent was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on March 22, 2004. This patent was then separated into four patents, and the USPTO approved and issued our açai patent (US 7,563,465) on July 21, 2009. (Three additional patents will be issued by the USPTO in the future; these additional patents will strengthen the uniqueness of MonaVie’s açai.)

MonaVie’s açai patent covers two items: 1) The nutritional composition of the açai puree (pulp) and freeze-dried powder, including its antioxidant properties; 2) The processing methods by which our açai is produced, from  harvesting the açai to making and storing it in its final form.

While MonaVie does not technically “own” the patent, MonaVie is the exclusive licensee of the açai patent within the Direct Sales (DS) or Multi-level Marketing (MLM) channel. The terms of this agreement are infinite with worldwide exclusivity. No other DS or MLM company can use the açai used in MonaVie products. MonaVie will also have exclusivity rights to the remaining three patents currently pending approval.

  • We require all new enrollees to agree to our eBay (and other such sites) Terms & Conditions, which states:

o    “IMPORTANT NOTICE: MonaVie Distributors are prohibited from listing, marketing, advertising, promoting, discussing or selling any MonaVie product, service or the business opportunity on any website or online forum which offers auction as a mode of selling (e.g., eBay, Amazon). Please refer to Section 5.4 of our Distributor Policies & Procedures for complete details. By agreeing, you acknowledge receipt of this formal warning. Those found to be in violation of this policy are subject to penalties without further notice, up to and including termination of their MonaVie Distributor account.”

  • In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, we terminate associated distributorships upon confirmation of their listing on eBay, or other such sites.
  • We send “cease and desist” letters to all sellers who cannot be identified.
  • We have applied to participate in eBay’s VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) program, which is used for reporting intellectual rights violations, using trademark infringement as leverage. This program removes listings wherein our trademarked images are used.

These are a few of the methods we employ to control the sale of MonaVie on eBay. In addition, we have built-in internal strategies for dealing with individual auctions/listings; these processes are confidential. Rest assured MonaVie is diligently pursuing this issue so as to maintain the integrity and viability of your MonaVie business.
